Hi everyone \o/ I'm writing a quick post to let you know that I've released my newest visual novel, With Eyes of Ice!

With Eyes of Ice is an otome(-ish) VN which is rather grim. It's set in Iceland in the 1800s, and it opens with a young girl, Gréta, running barefoot through the snow in the middle of the night. What is she running from, and how did she find herself in such a precarious situation? You'll have to read the story to find out!

Gréta's plight may or may not have something to do with the numerous pretty boys that she knows, however: her childhood friend, the earnest and eager to please Pétur; the kind-hearted, gentle doctor Nataníel; the excitable, puppyish Kai; and the flippant, irreverent Kristófer.

Though Eyes of Ice was written to hit several key points of your regular otome VN, with a female main character who has numerous pretty boys flirting with/falling for her, it doesn't have separate routes or branches. The story is linear, so you can't decide which boy you want Gréta to end up with.

The story is also rather grim, and explores some subjects people might find discomforting. The list of potential triggers might be spoilery, so I'll not go into too many details, but there are depictions of child abuse/neglect in the story and some gory scenes (though they aren't explicit).

It's not a cheerful story, so read it at your own discretion! If you'd like to see a cast of pretty anime boys suffering, however, I think it should be a diverting enough read! I hope you enjoy it, if you choose to check it out!
