I was porting them without any particular rhyme or reason whenever I had free time. I don't have any concrete plans as to which ones I want to port next, but maybe I'd do Salome or Ashes next!
This VN has a bit of everything: romance, drama, action, mystery, magic... there is even a dragon! The Fairy's Song is a story about a medieval knight discovering the wonders of the modern world. The Fairy's Song is a story about two girls trying to break an ancient curse. The Fairy's Song is a story about love, friendship and family. In the end, all the secrets will be revealed, the evil will be defeated, and the love between a female knight and a grumpy goth girl will blossom.
I played The Fairy's Song a while back, but I had neglected to leave a comment. All I can really say is that I found it cute and engrossing from beginning to end; the slow burn of both the central relationship and the mystery behind Leofe were compelling and kept me reading. Marnie's tendency to space out and monologue about her hair or her friends at inappropriate times was a little distracting, but maybe teenagers are just like that.
Other than that, my only real critique is that the narration towards the end explaining Leofe's backstory was a little on the long side. It was interesting and of course crucial to the plot, but I do remember wishing it had been edited down a little more, especially since it is purely narration with no interruption from the other characters. I don't recall it in detail, though, so maybe it was already as compact as it could have been.
I have no other complaints about the length or pacing of the game, though. If anything I wanted more by the end; I got very attached to these girls and would love to see a sequel someday.
Thank you very much for your kind comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I actually have been working on a sequel, which is in a pretty decent shape. The script is written, and I've coded most of it, though I'm still waiting on a few assets (plus I need to proofread and edit it a bit). I've posted a few screenshots of it on my Twitter here, if you want to see how it's shaping up.
I've also noticed that I do tend to overwrite a bit - especially around some of Marnie's asides - so I'm trying to be more thorough in editing the script of the sequel.
This is a story where magic is real and fairies talk to you if you wander too far into the forest…
A beautiful Kinetic Novel that I truly recommend if you’re willing to take a break from complex stories and enjoy a laid-back experience featuring romance and a fable-like atmosphere.
I really enjoyed it. Perfect if you want to chill reading something short and uplifting. Nice art and cute characters: it's fun to watch them grow throughout the story. Actually, I'd love a sequel about them dealing with either mundane or weird stuff at home and school :-)
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm not going to make any promises, but a sequel might not be off the table for this story. I've been kicking a few ideas around...
Pursued by a knight with a sword that almost cut my face, what do I do mind you ? I'm a modern teenager. Of course I'd have a flashback about me wanting to dye my hairs !
---
Joke aside. I'm skipping whole non-dialogs segment now, I'm booored. The protagonist is not special at all, nor her friend from the past, and the challenge doesn't seem endearing at all. Agh. I hate to recognize this but this may be my worst VN yet ; it's too beautiful to be dismissed like that, I know that writer has done material I love, and so I don't dare to just skip. ...Auto-afflicted pain ensuing :o
---
And I finished it. I liked the small last story, but 95% of the reste were boring to me I'm affraid :(
Gah ! I prefer when I'm rambling about how good your stories are, believe me.
decided check this out after blackberry honey, both were great! very wholesome and cute, loved the story (all ties together nicely), Fairytale and folklore elements. looking forward to ebi-hime's next VNs

This would be awesome :-) I think there is definitely a lot of potential there, so I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for writing this stuff ;-)
