Ame esta novela,al principio sentí que era medio aburrida, pero cuando me metí más en la lectura le dí otra oportunidad y no me arrepiento para nada.Alta obra.
Before I played the game, I was reading the reviews like a nerd. And I saw many and I mean MANY positive reviews. And it deserves it all! This is just truly beautiful. Gravedigger and the princess is my favorite! After you finished that game, go to extra and read the note. You may find something interesting and surprising.
Played both games (this and the sequel) and i can say the story is very well crafted, i would have an long ass comment on how i loved the story and i think the writer is petty fire andthis conviced me to play also her other games but i am not really want to write rn, so yeah very cool game like 70% of yuri games on itch.io games is petty depressing tho (like fr why the hell half of the yuri section on this godanm site is so depressing)
I thoroughly enjoyed these short stories, - they have managed to play out the yandere theme in an interesting way, with some rather creative solutions (a pleasant surprise on the second playthrough!).
The fairy-tale-like shoujo aesthetic with dark themes simply captivated me! I immediately felt the urge to create fan art-
I have seen this vn come up in my feeds several times and for the longest time was curious to play through it. It piqued my interest with the promise of WLW romance and cannibalism, so of course I had to check it out sooner or later. Finally gave it a read, and I wasn't disappointed!
The art is absolutely gorgeous. Every character looks cute and pretty. The GUI is so creative! By leaving a small window for the characters and backgrounds, it really makes me feel as if I am reading through a fairy-tale book with illustrations. Despite being photographs, the backgrounds never look out of place and blend perfectly with the rest of the visuals. The music is beautiful, haunting. Especially the mermaid's song - it's enchanting on its own, but the voice becoming slightly muffled when the protagonist is getting carried into the depths of the ocean was an extra wonderful touch.
And of course, the writing. The prose is really charming, and I found myself getting hypnotized by it, wanting to keep reading and reading. Second person is a rare find and can be a bit of a gamble, but it works in this novel. I liked the narrator being her own character and even showing up in the end. Once again, it feels like I am reading a fairy-tale, but with a WLW twist as a cherry on top.
I can't help but feel very sad for the protagonist though. She isn't a bad person, and her life is very unfortunate. Her wish to find companionship wasn't a terrible one. So it's really a pity that in the end it leads her to more suffering, no matter what she does. I would be curious to read the sequel and see if perhaps there is more to her fate.
It's amazing that you were able to make this during the limited time frame of a game jam. Thank you for the lovely reading experience!
gosh i love this game sm i just had to come back here after a while and say this! Tragic, horrifying, beautiful, and wlw. What more could ya want? I was left in SHAMBLES after going to the shore first and meeting the mermaid, her whole route had me falling so in love, then i got to the ending. Still NEVER recovering from thatTMT. And it never ends, honestly i always just go with fighting against my fates and going with the witch ending.
i loved this game, the story, characthers, music, art style, atmosphere all are really good , really love the gravedigger even tho she suddenly buried me alive (i did the village first) but all good !!! we all have our reasons am i right
