I'm going to write a quick devlog which isn't strictly related to Lonely (but it might interest people who have read Lonely!)



My newest yuri visual novel, Cage of Roses, has been released on Steam and Itchio! Cage of Roses is a gothic romance (with some mild horror elements) that features a young noblewoman, Meike, who finds herself kidnapped by the mysterious and aloof vampire, Magdalena. Will Meike be able to escape from her captor, and does she even want to?

Like Lonely, Cage of Roses draws a lot of inspiration from fairytales (specifically Beauty and the Beast). It has a similar atmosphere to Lonely and some of the same ornate prose, though Cage of Roses is a much more standard and straightforward story (it doesn't have any choices, unlike Lonely, and it unfolds like the events of a linear novel).



Nonetheless, if you like problematic women and slightly darker sapphic romances, you might enjoy Cage of Roses. Do consider giving it a shot if you enjoyed Lonely; I'd be interested to see what you think!
