Hello everyone! I'm writing a quick devlog to let you know I've released a shiny new VN - though you already know that, of course, if you're reading this devlog 💦

It's time for yet another visual novel about my best boys, Yuel and Tavi, because I love them so much I can't help myself apparently haha 💦💦

As it says on the Itchio page, it's a sequel to Unluckily in Love, but the events of UIL get summarised in the beginning so you don't need to have read UIL to understand what's going on.

Fragments of Love is a sweet slice of life story with some r18 content. Unlike usual, I didn't separate the adult stuff into its own build so it's all combined together. You have to be 18+ to play this!

And, as you might have noticed if you read the game description, this is going to be an episodic release. I only intended to write one cute UIL side story (which was this one), but then I got inspired and wrote another one, and another one... And then before I knew it I was on my tenth story (I'm working on that right now lol) and I was like "OK, maybe I'll just make this into an episodic release and put new episodes out when they're finished." So, that's the end goal here!

I'm hoping to release all 10 episodes over the next 2~ish years or so. These episodes are all written as of making this devlog, apart from episode 10, but it'll take a bit of time to get the necessary art assets and do all the proofreading/coding. I hope you can be patient! 🙏

The first part is free, and I was thinking of making parts 2 and 3 free as well, but I'll probably charge for the later parts (like $2.99 per). Since each part is around 50-60k I think that should be a good deal 💦

I don't have any experience with an episodic release like this, so I want to use the first few parts to experiment just to see if I can code it all properly haha. There might be a few difficulties but hopefully I can get everything set up smoothly.

I'm planning to release this VN on Steam in the future, but I think I'll hold off at least until part 2 is finished so I can see if the method I have in mind for releasing the future episodes goes as well as I'm hoping it will. I apologise if anybody wants to play it on Steam right this instant; I hope it's not too much of an inconvenience 🙏

Oh, and since I was working on the first episode while YaoiJam2024 was going on, I decided to submit the game to that, too. There's more cute BL VNs made by other devs over there for you to check out if you're interested!
